Sato Saga became a new lecturer in Muroran Institute of Technology and took over the laboratory of computer vision (the birth of Saga Lab.).

Won the prize for the best interactive presentators in "Interaction 2001" (Sato, Takikawa, Oguma, Ueda, Saga).
SATO, TAKIKAWA, OGUMA, UEDA and SAGA won the prize for the best interactive presentators in "Interaction 2001" .

:2004 October|
Information Processing Society of Japan, Hokkaido branch, Won the Encouragement Prize (Sumudu).
SUMUDU DEMATAPITIYA won the Encouragement Prize, Information Processing Society of Japan, Hokkaido branch.

KHAND QAMMAR UDDIN receives the doctorate.
